We welcome two newly qualified team members to the firm
A Conservation Accredited Architectural Assistant and Qualified Technologist have recently joined us, bringing with them exciting new perspectives and specialist knowledge.
We have recently welcomed Yashpriya Gupta and Janaé Duporte-Clarke to the team – who work on projects across the East of England, London, and South England.
Architectural assistant Yashpriya, who has completed a Masters degree in the Conservation of Historic Buildings, has an impressive career as an architect in India – working on some of the most prestigious monuments in the country, including the Red Fort monument and the Qutb Minar complex, both in Delhi. She has also worked on Smart City projects in India.
She said: “I didn’t intend to be an architect, but it turned out I was quite good at creative things! I started my pathway into architecture and then ended up developing an interest in architectural history and historical buildings. Now, I find working at NJ Architects really interesting. It’s an incredibly supportive environment and I am really enjoying it!”
Meanwhile, Architectural Technician Janaé was first welcomed to the practice in 2021 during her university placement, and she is now back on a full time basis.
“My dad was a builder so my interest in architecture started young,” said Janaé. “I went on to study architecture at uni, and although placement year was difficult due to Covid, I ended up coming to NJ Architects for a few months. I returned to uni to complete my course and now I am back at here full time. It almost feels like I never left – the team are all lovely!”
These two new additions to the team (a full break down of which can be found here) mean the team now consists of a total of fifteen architects, architectural engineers, architectural technicians, and office staff.
